Founded in 2007, the IERCC coordinates search and rescue services initiated by SOS alerts received from your supported device with an active satellite, cellular or other communication network service plan. We are staffed 24/7 with dedicated and trained operators who can contact emergency responders in more than 200 countries and territories. Should you encounter an emergency situation and use your device to initiate an SOS alert that is received by the IERCC, we can work quickly to coordinate with rescue authorities or others to provide assistance.
We are proud of the work we have done by coordinating emergency responses across the globe, and that work is founded on the idea that there is no rest until help arrives or you no longer require assistance.
In 2020, the IERCC was acquired by Garmin®. As a company focused on being the global leader in multiple markets within the technology industry, Garmin has better enabled us to coordinate emergency responses across the world.
